On Monday (October 16), the Euskirchen police received information that children had allegedly been approached by a driver from a vehicle in the Bad Münstereifel-Schönau area.
There were descriptions of both the person who is said to have appeared in this way and the vehicle, which at this point in time do not allow any connection to be made.
The police are following up all leads. Investigations to date have not led to the establishment of any criminal offenses.
If you make any observations or findings, it is helpful to note the license plate number and contact the police.
The Euskirchen police urgently request that you do not spread any unsecured information in the form of so-called "chain letters", especially not via social media and messaging services such as WhatsApp. These take on a life of their own and are more likely to frighten parents and children.
Parents and teachers can find information and recommendations on correct behavior on the Euskirchen police website. You can also contact the Euskirchen police crime prevention team on 02251 799 555 if you have any further questions.
